On May 23rd, the Agroecology Group (GoA) of Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna hosted an Open Field Visit at CiRAA, welcoming farmers, stakeholders, and the general public to the Italy Living Lab as part of Agroecology Day 2025.
Visitors had the opportunity to explore the experimental fields, observe ongoing field trials, and engage directly with researchers and Living Lab members. The event created a vibrant space for knowledge-sharing, hands-on learning, and meaningful discussions on agroecological practices.
A key focus of the visit was the development of sustainable and effective strategies for integrating legumes into agricultural systems—a central goal of the VALERECO project.
By opening its doors to the wider community, the Pisa Living Lab showcased how research and practice can work together to promote a more biodiversity-driven, resilient, and sustainable food system.
