The Serbian Living Lab, led by the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops Novi Sad National Institute of the Republic of Serbia (IFVCNS), recently organised a Demo Day showcasing innovative agroecological practices developed within the project.
The event brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including farmers, extension service representatives, students, researchers, project partners, and members of the Living Lab board, creating an open environment for knowledge exchange and collaboration around sustainable agriculture.
During the Demo Day, participants explored several practical approaches and methodologies currently being implemented within project activities. Demonstrations included 3D diversification practices, soil sampling methods, and the use of UAV technologies for field monitoring and data collection, highlighting innovative approaches currently being explored within the project.
Particular interest was shown in the application of UAVs in agriculture and the practical use of soil sampling techniques for monitoring field conditions and supporting more sustainable crop management practices. The interactive format of the event encouraged open discussions between researchers, practitioners, and local stakeholders, allowing participants to exchange experiences and discuss current challenges and opportunities related to agroecological transition.
Beyond the technical demonstrations, the visit further strengthened collaboration within the project network by fostering dialogue, networking, and cooperation among the different stakeholder groups involved in the Living Lab ecosystem.
Through activities such as this Demo Day, the project continues to support the development and dissemination of innovative, biodiversity-friendly agricultural practices that contribute to more resilient and sustainable agri-food systems across Europe.
