Join the 2nd International Symposium on "Agrobiodiversity along the Value Chain" in Lleida, Spain
From May 20th to 22nd, 2025, the CROPDIVA project and our sister project, LEGENDARY will host the 2nd International Symposium on Agrobiodiversity along the Value Chain in Lleida, Spain.
Participants from around the world, including representatives from our esteemed partner, the Agricultural University of Athens (AUA), will gather to explore diverse topics related to agrobiodiversity along the value chain.
The symposium will feature a general session with three keynote speakers:
- Dr. Christian Schöb (University Rey Juan Carlos, Spain) – “Ecological mechanisms underlying the benefits of diversity in annual crop systems”
- Prof. Dr. Roberto Papa (Università Politecnica delle Marche, Italy) – “Agrobiodiversity and Genetics”
- Ms.Teresa Borelli (Alliance Bioversity-CIAT, Italy) – “Agrobiodiversity and Value Chains”
In addition to the keynote presentations, the program will include multiple sessions based on submitted abstracts, focusing on themes such as:
- Genetics: How they shape agrobiodiversity?
- The impact of cropping systems on agrobiodiversity
- Food and feed technology, drivers of change on agrobiodiversity
- Agrobiodiversity: the challenges and opportunities for socio-economic sciences and for systemic approaches
- Valuing ecosystem services related to agrobiodiversity

The abstract submission deadline for oral or poster presentations is January 31, 2025.
