We are delighted to spotlight a recent study by VALERECO partner, the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops (IFVCNS), published in Plants journal. Titled “Impact of Simultaneous Nutrient Priming and Biopriming on Soybean Seed Quality and Health”, the research investigates innovative techniques that enhance seed health and support sustainable agriculture.
The objective of this study, authored by Gordana Tamindžić, Dragana Miljaković, Maja Ignjatov, Jegor Miladinović, Vuk Đorđević, Dragana Milošević, Dušica Jovičić, Slobodan Vlajić, Dragana Budakov, and Mila Grahovac, was to analyse the response of antioxidant parameters in soybean plants inoculated with newly isolated bacterial strains under drought stress.
Furthermore, the article explores how combining nutrient priming and biopriming enhances soybean seed health. These treatments are shown to boost seed vigor, improve germination, and support sustainable farming practices by reducing the need for chemical fertilizers. As the study demonstrates, this integrated approach holds significant promise for advancing soybean production and promoting eco-friendly agricultural solutions.
