Instituto Navarro de Tecnologias e Infraestructuras Agroalimentarias

INTIA is a public company, attached to the Department of Rural Development and Environment of the Government of Navarra, Spain. INTIA works with all parts of the food production value chain providing advisory services to farmers and the agri-food industry. Its main mission is the transfer of innovation in the agri-food sector, helping to improve both viability and sustainability, maintain a living rural environment while respecting the environment and offering high-quality food to society. INTIA has participated in numerous research projects, linked to some of the keynote priorities set by the European Union, aiming to respond to the trends, policies and regulations that will mark the evolution of the Navarrese agri-food.

INTIA’s experience and expertise will help them participate in various tasks within the project.

More specifically, INTIA will:

Participate in T1.4 – Establishment of the Living Labs, T1.5 – Synergies with other projects, T2.4 – Behavioural design strategies to leverage the adoption of legumes by farmers, T3.1 – Set up of on-station participatory trials and establishment of the experimental protocols following 3D diversification strategies, T3.2 – Optimization of legume crops yield, stability and grain quality through agroecological approaches, T3.3 – Cascading effects of legume N2-fixation to soil fertility and biodiversity, T4.1 – Living-Labs for demonstrating innovative uses of legumes T4.2 – Determination of the technical feasibility of legumes inclusion in crop rotations, T4.4 – Life Cycle Assessments, T6.1 – Dissemination, exploitation & communication plan, T6.2 – Boosting stakeholder & ecosystem engagement, T6.3 – Training & capacity building, T7.1 – Administrative and Financial Management, T7.2 – Risk Management and Quality Assurance, T7.3 – Data Management, T7.4 – Ethics and gender dimension.
