AgriFood Lithuania (AfL) is a Digital Innovation Hub and Cluster, operating on a non-profit basis, that brings together major research, business and public stakeholders in Lithuania. With over 20 public and umbrella organization, science, education, industry and SME partners, AfL acts as coordinator and facilitator of digital-based technology solutions for agriculture and food industries. The main goal is to enhance the digital transformations in the agriculture, food and associated sectors, contributing in achieving the vision outlined in the EU Declaration of ‘A smart and sustainable digital future for European agriculture and rural areas’. AfL is a member of the Lithuanian clusters network (KlasterLT), the European Cluster Collaboration Platform, European Clusters Alliance, Smart Sensors 4 AgriFood. Together with consortium partners under the “ESIC.LT” initiative has been confirmed as a European Digital Innovation Hub in Lithuania. From 2021 AfL is the EIT Food Hub in Lithuania.
AfL’s background will significantly help in leading and participating in various tasks within the project.

Participates in T1.5 – Synergies with other projects, T2.1 – Status quo analysis: Perceptions and knowledge systems of supply chain actors and consumers, T2.2 – Market penetration and acceptance of leguminous crops, T2.4 – Behavioural design strategies to leverage the adoption of legumes by farmers, T4.3 – Cost-benefit analyses, T5.2 – Implementation of a digital legume information hub, T6.1 – Dissemination, exploitation & communication plan, T6.2 – Boosting stakeholder & ecosystem engagement, T7.1 – Administrative and Financial Management, T7.2 – Risk Management and Quality Assurance, T7.3 – Data Management, T7.4 – Ethics and gender dimension.
